Red oak log from Sara's tree.  32 inch wide and 9 foot long.  Estimated about over 3000 lbs.   First cut was done with a chainsaw mill once we got it off the trailer.   2/5ths of the log on the mill and almost ready to cut.  The other 3/5ths is in the foreground.   We stood the lab up from there to cut 5/4x6 boards.   Here are some of the boards as they were cut. Cutting the slabs. About 1/3 of the tree.  Some 1 inch slabs and some 5/4 boards. Got the 6 big slabs brought home today.  Each slab is about 200 lbs.
